I've always liked the story of the Ninevites praying to God and receiving compassion after hearing of their intended destruction. And admired our sister church in El Salvador watching them pray with passion. I hope to capture some of that here where we can share prayer requests. Shiends comes from when my kids were young and just starting to talk. They both had sleeping friends but couldn't say friends and kept saying "shiends". So "shiends" has been in our vocabulary ever since.
My wife's health is not necessarily getting better but she found a personal trainer/nutritionist that is helping her and working with her. She has been able to get out more and walk more so that's a praise. We're still praying for complete healing but know baby steps in the right direction is praise worthy.
ReplyDeleteI am the maintenance guy at our church. I don't do all of the maintenance myself but I try to find people to help with what is needed when I cannot do it or do it alone. Mark Litzkow is a member at the church and he's a huge blessing. He knows the ins and outs of almost everything. I know when I ask for his help or ask what to do he will know and be happy to do it and help. Thank you, Mark.
