I've always liked the story of the Ninevites praying to God and receiving compassion after hearing of their intended destruction. And admired our sister church in El Salvador watching them pray with passion. I hope to capture some of that here where we can share prayer requests. Shiends comes from when my kids were young and just starting to talk. They both had sleeping friends but couldn't say friends and kept saying "shiends". So "shiends" has been in our vocabulary ever since.
A quickie update.
ReplyDeleteSwelling & vericose veins a little better, but still often have to pee standing up.
Mid back seized up yesterday evening while changing Ivan's diaper and is giving me pain.
I see baby doc today for another test, then go to the chiropractor.
Fortunately, I was able to float around in a friends pool last night. While I was in the pool a frog was swimming around the perimeter with a tiny baby frog on top. It may sound funny, but I felt like that little frog was sent to me as an encouragement from God to remind me He is with me.
Last night managed a few yoga stretches that seemed to help my back a little.

Nonstress test went well. My cervix is only dialated to 1cm, so I don't want to strip the membranes. I see the doc on Thursday. My insurance also changes on Thursday, but we haven't received the new cards yet. Am heading out to the chiropractor right now. Pam
ReplyDeleteThanks for the updates, Pam. I keep praying for your health and safety, as well as little baby girl. The frog bit sounds cute and I am sure God uses stuff like that to get our attention to let us know He is creator and perfecter of our lives. Still praying she comes out soon, of course on her terms with safety and readiness. Pray Ivan is listening to you and Alex and Alex doesn't feel any stress from work or like other than what is happening right now in his family. God Bess you all and continual prayers are with you.
