I've always liked the story of the Ninevites praying to God and receiving compassion after hearing of their intended destruction. And admired our sister church in El Salvador watching them pray with passion. I hope to capture some of that here where we can share prayer requests. Shiends comes from when my kids were young and just starting to talk. They both had sleeping friends but couldn't say friends and kept saying "shiends". So "shiends" has been in our vocabulary ever since.
I received this email today from Jacky and would like prayer for Pietro & Fiona's family.
ReplyDelete"Hi Pam, there has been some tragic news hear this week and I wanted to ask you to say a prayer for some people. I am asking you because I trust your faith and more prayers can't do any harm. Fiona's husband Pietro has gone to Italy to be with his family. His sister Christina and two of her children Nives and Loris have been involved in a very serious accident. Both Christina and Nives are critically ill. Loris has two broken legs, a broken hip and has suffered a punctured lung but he is doing well despite this trauma. Please pray for their healing and for their family to give them strength and comfort. Thanks Pam. I will keep you updated. Much love to you and your beautiful children."
