I've always liked the story of the Ninevites praying to God and receiving compassion after hearing of their intended destruction. And admired our sister church in El Salvador watching them pray with passion. I hope to capture some of that here where we can share prayer requests. Shiends comes from when my kids were young and just starting to talk. They both had sleeping friends but couldn't say friends and kept saying "shiends". So "shiends" has been in our vocabulary ever since.

The Italians-Christina, Loris and Nevis. All are at home and coping with being in plaster and metal frames but at least home. Fiona says they are doing well considering it has only been about 6 weeks since the accident happened.
