What are your prayer requests?

  1. Let's pray for Haiti! Let's pray that God uses this horrible disaster to get His Church off their butts and into the game. Let's pray that by being at the very ends of thier ropes, the Haitian people will finally realize and turn to Yahweh! Finally let's pray for South Minnespolis as we have a prayer/worship/info/fundraising event at Hiawatha this Monday. may the people of Hiawatha and of south minneapolis hear what is going on, be moved by God to act and have changed hearts.

PS Great idea bro! i hope this goes well!

Prayers for Haiti and all of the children. Prayers to give me the strength and guidance to enter back into the scary world of school...dun dun dun. Thanks so much Gary. And make sure to include what you would like us to pray for for you!!!!

  3. I pray for the women of Minneapolis who are sexual abuse survivors that they feel lead to come to the recovery group starting Feb. 21st at Hiawatha Church at 7pm. I pray for the women to feel safe there and that the group be an amazing way for the women of minneapolis to see how God can and will restore them! Thanks Gary.

  4. Hi Gary,

Wonderful idea...thanks for thinking to include our family in your invite to follow. We would love to have you pray for us, having 2 teenagers (14 & 12) and 2 little ones (1 yr. & 5 weeks) I need rest!! You and Heidi know what it's like having 2 babies so close together...we are not getting much sleep around here and are feeling a little overwhelmed as the show must go on whether you've slept or not! So prayer for some good old fashioned rest would be greatly appreciated. : )

    Blessings! ~Kristina

  5. I watched the Haiti Telethon from Friday night and it showed people and churches, without walls and roofs, gathering and still praising God. It was humbling given circumstances they are in and what I still have here. I pray those brothers and sisters in Haiti are great witnesses to the goodness of God.

  6. Merry - I will definitely add Spencer to the list for jobs. Heidi and I are on that same list. She's been looking for full time work for a month and now understands what I went through for 6 months of looking for work. Is Calvin sick? We pray for cousins with the kids so will add for his health. And school; do enjoy it. It gets hard juggling family life and school but it is worth it. We'll keep you all in prayers.

  8. You are right, Merry, I should add my own requests. I found out this last week the agency endorsing me as a chaplain in the Army is pulling my endorsement meaning I am able to get out of the Army. It is very bittersweet as I wish I could be on active duty as a chaplain but cannot. For those who don't know, active duty won't take me because I do not have 2 years of full time ministry experience they require and churches will not hire me to be a pastor because I am in the Guard in fear they will lose me to deployment. So, I am getting out after 10 years of being in the military. Please pray a window opens as God has closed this door.
    Thanks

  10. Gary,
Please pray I find a doctor for my prenatal & delivery care soon, that this doctor will give evidence based recommendations rather than opinions based on the prevailing winds in the local medical community, that he/she will value natural birth, that he/she will deliver at the best equipped hospital, that God will be really clear in directing me as I make my decision, and give me confidence and peace as I move forward. It is hard to find a doctor who supports VBAC (vaginal birth after ceserean) even though it is just as safe as a repeat c-section, and even harder to find a doctor who will deliver at the hospital that has a 24 hour perinatal specialist group on site. I am 19 weeks pregnant and keep bumping into obstacles in finding a doctor. Also please pray for God to create a healthy baby within me and prepare my body for a safe & natural childbirth. Thanks! Pam

  11. Hey Pam, glad I checked one more time before bed. I will pray for you, for your pregnancy, and finding a doctor. The web site Heidi mentioned above for Kristina and I added to my web list may be of support, mamaeve.com. I hope to keep hearing how it's going and what specifically I can keep praying for you.
