I've always liked the story of the Ninevites praying to God and receiving compassion after hearing of their intended destruction. And admired our sister church in El Salvador watching them pray with passion. I hope to capture some of that here where we can share prayer requests. Shiends comes from when my kids were young and just starting to talk. They both had sleeping friends but couldn't say friends and kept saying "shiends". So "shiends" has been in our vocabulary ever since.

Gary, Norma, the lady with whom I am working on one of my projects has breast cancer. Can we please pray for her? Can we pray that the doctors found it when it is still curable and the operation goes well? Thanks.
