I've always liked the story of the Ninevites praying to God and receiving compassion after hearing of their intended destruction. And admired our sister church in El Salvador watching them pray with passion. I hope to capture some of that here where we can share prayer requests. Shiends comes from when my kids were young and just starting to talk. They both had sleeping friends but couldn't say friends and kept saying "shiends". So "shiends" has been in our vocabulary ever since.
I had my first ultrasound today. It's a girl. There was a cyst on the brain that is sometimes linked with Trisomy 18 (found in Down Syndrome), but not necessarily. Fortunately her hands were open because Trisomy 18 babies are known to have their fists clenched in a certain way. While I accept my baby as a gift from God regardless of her health, I would still like to pray that she be completely healthy unless God has a specific plan/purpose for her being otherwise. Please pray that Alex & I won't worry. These types of cysts are pretty common and usually go away by week 25. I have another ultrasound in about 4 weeks to see if the cyst has gone away. Please pray it does.

Hey Pam, so sorry for the delay in responding; drill weekend is always not nice to my schedule. You, Alex, and baby are in my continual prayers and now we know it is a girl. I will pray specifically for comfort and care of what you wrote above that baby girl is healthy and the cyst goes away. I pray for your comfort and trust in God for all. God Bless you, Pam. Thanks for being so faithful.
