I've always liked the story of the Ninevites praying to God and receiving compassion after hearing of their intended destruction. And admired our sister church in El Salvador watching them pray with passion. I hope to capture some of that here where we can share prayer requests. Shiends comes from when my kids were young and just starting to talk. They both had sleeping friends but couldn't say friends and kept saying "shiends". So "shiends" has been in our vocabulary ever since.

Finally, good morning to you all. I stayed home today to be with the family and slept in until 8:15, which really never happens. I feel like I could sleep the rest of the day. My wife, Heidi, went to the doctor yesterday because she's had a sore throat, achy body specifically in her neck, she's forgetting things easily, and always tired. The doc said, Mononucluseosis, REALLY! MONO? That sounds crazy because it could mean I also have it, which would not be cool at all. Please pray for Heidi's health that it does not develop into something worse and that I can take the rest of the week off to take care of the kids so she can rest.... and than that I nor our kids get this fun sickness. Thank you.
