I've always liked the story of the Ninevites praying to God and receiving compassion after hearing of their intended destruction. And admired our sister church in El Salvador watching them pray with passion. I hope to capture some of that here where we can share prayer requests. Shiends comes from when my kids were young and just starting to talk. They both had sleeping friends but couldn't say friends and kept saying "shiends". So "shiends" has been in our vocabulary ever since.
Today I had my ultrasound. No more cysts, and everything else looked good. Praise be to God. The only bummer is that they didn't give us an e-copy of any of today's photos.
ReplyDeleteAlex & Yura still have their jobs, in fact hardly anything changed on the new organizational chart. We'll see what happens when the quarterly report comes out in a few weeks. Please keep praying for God's continued provision.
My friend Masha changed doctors. Her new doctor has put her in a smaller brace; one that is flexible and will allow her to do her job. He also is releasing her to go back to work to her full duties next week. She still has pain in her hand, and may have to cope with it the rest of her life. The doctor who did the surgery appeared really upset that she went for a second opinion because her hand wasn't improving further. Ironically she found out when she collected her records to take to the new doctor that the old doctor made a note in her file that she became hostile to him when he had refused to release her back to work. She said she was really surprised to read this as he is the one who seemed angry that she had gone for a second opinion. Please pray that God heals her hand completely, and that God will heal/remove any resentment or bitterness in her or her former doctor.
Masha & Yura were able to find someone to fix their water heater after having been told it had to be replaced. This saved them a lot of money. God is faithful even in the smallest details of our lives.
