I've always liked the story of the Ninevites praying to God and receiving compassion after hearing of their intended destruction. And admired our sister church in El Salvador watching them pray with passion. I hope to capture some of that here where we can share prayer requests. Shiends comes from when my kids were young and just starting to talk. They both had sleeping friends but couldn't say friends and kept saying "shiends". So "shiends" has been in our vocabulary ever since.

A friend from church, Morgan, is soliciting prayers. He’s back in the hospital and the doctors will be attempting treatment using medication. If that doesn’t work, they will have to surgically remove his intestines. So please pray with urgency and faith that God heals him through this treatment or some other means. And please pray for wisdom with the doctors in knowing exactly what to do and how to treat him.
