I've always liked the story of the Ninevites praying to God and receiving compassion after hearing of their intended destruction. And admired our sister church in El Salvador watching them pray with passion. I hope to capture some of that here where we can share prayer requests. Shiends comes from when my kids were young and just starting to talk. They both had sleeping friends but couldn't say friends and kept saying "shiends". So "shiends" has been in our vocabulary ever since.

I, Gary, threw my back out exercising yesterday morning and it's worse this morning. It happens 1-2x a year and decided this week was the week. Will head to the doc today for drugs.
